My girlfriend and I drove to Montreal from Niagara Falls and we stayed with my lovely aunt Dianne. In the morning we got coffee at Pikolo coffee shop in montreal. Good coffee and a wonderful staff, one of which, Chris, recognized me from performing on Granville street in Vancouver, which was rather gratifying to my musician ego.
After Coffee with a friendly west coast chap and an inspiring smoke we hit the street and performed for Montreal!
Even had a photo opp with the bride and groom:
And the architecture in Montreal is beautiful:
And now we are headed towards Nova Scotia on this years tour de les rue (tour of the streets.) Look forward to performing for the people in Halifax!!
Well I am back at it again, on tour and going accross Canada. Just finished playing in Toronto and had a great time. Everywhere I played in the city I was met with great crowds and positive people.
I played two nights outside the Pan Am Games and had a wonderful time. I would like to give the city of Toronto a pat on the back for the quality of musical production they put on for this event. Incredible stages and lighting like I havent seen before at any event.
The people of Toronto are genourous to artists, and made for delightful crowds to entertain. No matter where we played we had a great big group of appreaciative people!
I had the opportunity to do interviews with the local independent media.
I got to hang out with some great people including staying with our lovely friend Debbie who made us delicious food and provided great conversation! We also had drinks with some wonderful irish folk and even their bloody english friend who were hilarious.
All in all my Girlfriend and I had a great time in Toronto and we are thankful the rumours of this being a cold harsh city and completely unfounded.
Before we headed out to Montreal we got to hang out with our glass blowing friends Clark, Jordan and Eliot while my lady blew glass with them:
Now we are on our way to Montreal and I will be playing there all weekend. Hope to see you there!
